ASSEMBLY REPORT 1

               On 8th January 2026, the Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar, in collaboration with IQAC, conducted a College Assembly at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. This event was organized by the First-Year Physical Science students, with contributions from Sandhra Subash, Vinaya k, Riya Jose, Jesni Titus, Sreelakshmi MK, and Akash Kiran.

 

Program Overview:

 

The morning assembly was conducted in an organized and disciplined manner. The programme began with the prayer, creating a calm and spiritual atmosphere. This was followed by the pledge, instilling a sense of unity and patriotism among the students. The news reading session updated everyone with current events and important happenings. The thought of the day was ‘If you fail never give up because fail means first attempt in learning’. This message inspired students with positivity and hope. The activity session in the form of a quiz titled “Exploring the Universe with Stephen Hawking”. The session aimed to enhance students scientific awareness and curiosity about the universe, inspired by life and contributions of the renowned physicist Stephen Hawking. The quiz included questions related to cosmology, black hole, space, and hawking’s scientific ideas, which actively engaged the participants. Following this , the Principal’s address offered valuable guidance and encouragement. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and respect for the nation.

The Morning Buzz session was conducted on 1 October 2026 at 9:40 AM in the Assembly Hall, in collaboration with IQAC and the Science Club. It was presented by Sandhya A M as an interactive activity titled “This or That: Chemistry Battle.” Students were given two choices for each question and encouraged to select an option and explain their choice. The activity covered interesting chemistry topics such as acidity, conductivity, chemical changes, oxidation, reactivity, heat and change, acid–base  reactions, and ions.
