speaking clearly and confidently. The assembly began on a spiritual note with a
prayer song by Nijina T , Shaharban U P and Jilna T . Their voices were
harmonious and soul-stirring, creating a peaceful environment that helped
everyone feel calm and focused. This was followed by the pledge. Veena K led the pledge with great dignity. which
reinforced the values of unity, integrity , and responsibility among students. Sreehari
C handled the news session very professionally. He selected the most important
national , international , local , educational ,and sports news delivering them
in a way that was easy to understand and keeping the college community
well-informed.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
In this morning’s assembly, Alan Johny delivered thought for the day .It is an insightful presentation on
the importance of focusing on true goals rather than just "hitting the
numbers." Using the humorous story of the Iron-Clad Nail
Factory, Alan explained how a Director’s obsession with specific metrics led to
workers producing useless, needle-thin nails to meet quantity targets and a
single five-ton spike to meet weight targets. Through this "Great Nail
Fiasco," Alan illustrated Goodhart’s Law: the idea that when a measure
becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure. He concluded with a powerful
reminder for the student body: whether in academics or personal growth, we must
ensure that our pursuit of "grades" or "points" does not
distract us from our true mission of learning and excellence
The
assembly was then addressed by Dr. Sreena A; Assistant professor in Natural Science. The assembly concluded with
the National Anthem, leaving the students and faculty with a sense of unity and
pride.
