COLLEGE ASSEMBLY



The first-year Social Science students conducted the College Assembly at 9:30 a.m. in the

General Hall of Mahatma College of Education, Nileshwar. The programme began with a prayer

and pledge, followed by news reading by Krishnendu. Aparna Raj presented the Thought for the

Day, sharing the quote, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” — Benjamin

Franklin. She highlighted the importance of education and knowledge in personal growth and

success. The assembly concluded with important announcements and a vote of thanks.

The Morning Buzz session was conducted on 1 October 2026 at 9:40 AM in the Assembly Hall, in collaboration with IQAC and the Science Club. It was presented by Sandhya A M as an interactive activity titled “This or That: Chemistry Battle.” Students were given two choices for each question and encouraged to select an option and explain their choice. The activity covered interesting chemistry topics such as acidity, conductivity, chemical changes, oxidation, reactivity, heat and change, acid–base  reactions, and ions. The correct answers were revealed along with simple scientific explanations.
